Our Story

MyAwrah was founded in 2023 in Tilburg, the Netherlands, with a simple but powerful goal: to make modest activewear that actually works for Muslim men and women.
The idea started from a personal struggle. Growing up, we rarely swam on vacation, not because we didn’t want to, but because there were no modest swimwear options that felt comfortable or appropriate. Swimming in regular trousers and a T-shirt just didn’t cut it. And when we looked for alternatives, we noticed something important: most modest fashion brands were focused only on women. Muslim men were often left out of the conversation.
As time went on, we wanted to design something for our sisters as well, because we know they face their own challenges when it comes to modest activewear. Whether it’s at the gym or during a workout, finding clothing that offers the right balance between modesty, comfort, and performance isn’t always easy. We knew we could help change that.
Today, MyAwrah offers a growing range of modest sportswear for both men and women, designed to support movement, confidence, and faith. Our goal is to make it easier for Muslims to stay active, dress modestly, and feel good doing it.
